The extroverted real estate broker Paolo (Alessandro Gassman) and his beautiful wife Simona (Michaela Ramazzotti) are expecting. At a dinner with Paolo's sister Betta (Valeria Golino) and her husband Sandro (Luigi Lo Cascio), the refined and literate couple, and Claudio (Rocco Papaleo), the eccentric musician, one question leads to an argument that will shake up the night: the name of Paolo and Simona's son.
